ORGANIZATIONAL PROFILE
The mission of Help
Bridge the Gap Servant of the King Inc. (HBGSKI) is to
provide customized, capacity –building services to promote
community building and social transformation in low-income,
minority communities. Our vision is to build strong,
healthy, resilient communities with the leadership,
infrastructure and civic participation to effect social
change. We want to help give a hand up not a hand out.
ORGANIZATIONAL PROGRAMS
There are several programs administered under HBGSKI:

- Math and reading reinforcement is
provided every Wednesday evening from 5-7 pm.
- HIV/AIDS education is held quarterly on
Friday evening from 7-9 pm.
- Showing How Access to Resources Empower
(SHARE) people is held on Monday and Wednesday from 11 am -
2 pm.
- Resume Building.
- Typing basics, and email basics are
offered to the seniors in the surrounding community on
Tuesday from 2pm-3:30 pm.

| MISSION: |
Help the City of Virginia Beach, create programs in the community to help them strive for excellence in every aspect of their lives.
Work in partnership with residents, churches, businesses, non-profit, FBO, and government to improve the quality of life of these neighborhoods through community empowerment activities and public services.
Help churches obtain 501 (c ) (3) application and find grants as a FBO.

| PURPOSE: |
To host a variety of programs and services that will help educate future community leaders on resources and neighborhood issues to improve our community involvement.
|
| OBJECTIVE: |
Function in the community as an institution that provides support of public social services and programs to create opportunities that will assist residents in achieving a state of self-empowerment, spirituality and morality in our communities.
